Mr. Gray introduces stop frame animation by asking the students first if they know what stop frame animation is. He lets the students use the camera and set it to manual, this allows the students to understand the basics of how to operate a cammera for stop motion. Mr. Gray uses kinesthetic learning when teaching the students. He lets someone operate the camera and allows the students to be a part of the actual film itself. Stop Motion Animation teaches kids the understanding of digital technology in such that you are not only limited to taking photos, printing them out and putting them in an album. You can create motion with stop motion and create a sort of magic with this. For example, one of the projects the students made was where they peaked their head out of a box but each time someone peaked their head out it was a different student. This can be done with a video camera but with more workarounds. With just taking a few photos you can create something amazing and magical.

This was a great example of how to teach students about story development. I think using photography or stop-frame animation helps push their imagination while showing them the importance of each step within the story.
