New Visions uses teacher-led inquiry as a fundamental strategy to improve student learning. In partnership with the New York City Department of Education, New Visions provides operational and instructional support to a network of 75 small public schools. Teams of teachers and administrators, called "school inquiry teams," meet regularly to develop instruction, evaluate efforts, and use student data to lead whole school improvement efforts. In addition, instructional coaches help teachers plan, evaluate, and reflect on how they can continue to improve their practice and further student achievement.
