Discussion and Supporting Materials

Thought starters

  1. How do students receive feedback on their work?
  2. Why does Ms. Yamashita call her classroom a lab?
  3. How does the use of technology enrich this project?

It was grade 10 Media Arts - but they were grade 9 students taking a 10 level course.

Interesting lesson! I loved listening to the students talk about their experiences with the various processes which occur in the art classroom. As a high school art teacher, I very much appreciate hearing the students point of views as well as another art teacher's point of view. Thanks!

Hi Robert and Tamara. This particular video is one that we acquired from Curriculum Services Canada. We are not allowed to play these videos outside of the United States, but you may be able to watch through their website. Here is a link to the video on their site - http://resources.curriculum.org/arts/socialissues.shtml
