As Marlo discuss areas of topic she give her students praise on how they will to take on. a challenge. If something is difficult she would them reason why the lesson maybe hard to complete, the students are willing to take on something that maybe hard to do, making the students wanting to know what is challenging about the lesson. This students to strive for excellent which is brought on by perservance through a difficult lesson. The extra effort.
