In this video, Mr. Parker met with Ms. Hollins for a pre-observation conference where they discussed how Ms. Hollins would teach the students about analyzing syntax. Then, we got to see part of Ms. Hollins lesson plan in action. Following, was a post-observation conference where Mr. Parker and Ms. Hollins reflected on the lesson. From this video, I learned that “juicy sentences” is a protocol teachers can use to help their students break down sentences and get a better understanding of the authors message. I also learned that it is important to have a coach or work closely with your teaching team, for experienced teachers know what works best and can make suggestions that will help you improve your lessons. One question I had was how many days was this lesson and what assessments where used to evaluate the students understanding?

I liked how both worked together on a lesson plan so that the students will be able to learn their objectives.I think this is a great way for both teachers to brain storm because sometimes when doing your own lesson plan you may miss or leave out something, each person will bring something different to the table.Over all I enjoyed the video. It was also great to watch the teacher bring the lesson to life.
