Discussion and Supporting Materials

Thought starters

  1. How does Mr. Gravelijn integrate poetry and dance?
  2. What do students learn about personal and general space?
  3. Why is it helpful to co-create assessment criteria?

I love the movement and using poetry to describe legs was cool. Kids love dance and to move as it is so exspessive.

I would like to have seen them perform so I could see the example of positive and negative space.I think this is absolutely fascinating. My question is did the students all make their own homes later or was this home made by the whole class and the teacher what determined or influenced their choreography.

I really like these movements that you taught your students. They are not hard to do. Good ideas! Thank you for sharing
