The elementary school where I work use CLASS DOJO to interact and communicate with parents in English and other languages. I also am communicating with students using Clever messages. This communication is working better than Google Mail because most students in elementary and middle school do not read their gmail even with constant reminders and encouraging. Using these two types of communication we are helping students realize they can reach out to me as their ESL teacher to help them with work. We also can be sure parents know how their child is doing and how I can help them. We are celebrating success stories. Educators and support staff are all working together to give all students the support and additional help they need during this time of remote learning.
