I am a grad student at GCU (Grand Canyon University) and I observed your video for my Clinical Field Experience and I was wondering if you could provide your school name, facility type (Elementary, Middle, High School, Community Center, Early Childhood Learning Center) facility setting(urban, suburban, rural) if the school is a private, public, or charter school.

If I could get your assistance with these inquiries I would greatly appreciate it.

The teacher used a thumbs up to show understanding. A quiet visual signal is a great way to continue with the flow of the lesson without wasting time. The students were engaged in productive conversations and feedback to aid in comprehension. The hand up quiet signal was effective.

I like watching the teacher's interactions with the students.

The hand gestures were amazing. It was great to see all of the students participating. I also found it interesting that when she allowed the communication with their peers she was able to get the attention of the students back by raising her hand. She was able to take control and stay in control in the productive communication of her students.

The group formed a circle for group discussion.  The students asked great questions and the questions were answered amoung their peers.  All students were respectful of each other and participating well in the group discussing.  The teacher did a great job maintaing order with her hand signals.
