I love the idea of second set partners! I have been trying to think of a way to get my students to have a different partner with rearranging them on the rug too often. Brilliant to use head partners and shoulder partners! I love it!! :)

This is amazing! Your videos are really inspiring me to go into the classroom and reevaluate my practice. I love how the 2nd set of partners rephrase what was said and allows for more expression in the conversations.

I love how the students have to remember what their first partner said, and then relay it to their second partner. I think it will really encourage them to be a more active listener, and then better remember what the other person stated. I teach 5th grade, and I do not have any ELL students. But, I still think this strategy would work well in many different areas for retention.

This is a great example of pairing students for sharing. I will do "pair share" after I have introduced a concept, and ask students to turn and talk about when/if/how they have seen this concept before. This is a great way of having EVERYONE involved at once, not just the students who tend to raise their hands every time I ask a question.
