Love this teaching method! The build it, draw it, write it would definitely help my first graders to develop a better understanding of math concepts.

Using the "build it, draw it , write it method is a more effective way to ensure the students have a deeper understanding of the concept. They are more likely to think more about the concept and make connections. Also I believe as the other students are working on these three parts of the method the teacher has time to check in with students who may be struggling.
