I collect phones in my classes. If we need to do something online, I chose a student to come to the laptop that is showing on the screen for everyone to see. It cuts down on students getting off task and trying to look at sites that have nothing to do with the task at hand.

l think that Children play enough Computer games at Home and do not need to play them at school. Reading a book that is held in your hands that you can refer back to and using your imagination is a lost Art and needs to be kept alive.

One of the things that I’m really passionate about is integrating technology into the classroom. Our school actually finally got wifi, which is a huge deal, and because of this I decided to actually purchase a tablet for myself, just for this purpose of helping to engage kids in a different way.

One of the bigger reasons why I did that was because kids nowadays, they grew up with things like touch screens, or ipods, or iphones even. And so they’re just surrounding with new technology every single day, and they’re very familiar with them too. And so I want to use some of that familiarity into my classroom, so I’m going to try to integrate my tablets, my touch screens, some gaming, some of my games, I’m going to use my smart board a lot, but other than that I’m also going to research new technology that could be integrated into my classroom.
