Just want to observe that boys are mainly being called on to answer questions and also mainly used to participate in the object lessons.

Finding some errors in the instruction here. The instructor mentions that one should always put a comma before the conjunction "but", but this is not true. If "but" is connecting predicates, there would be no use for a comma. For example: Mr. Smith taught many comma rules but omitted the rule of the Oxford comma. Also if "but" is connecting phrases, there is no comma. For example: The lesson engaging the students but alarming the Ms. Aubrey was truly a remarkable feat.
