  1. The description of the teacher's role in this classroom are that he serves as a great facilitator and promoter of lifelong learners. He has an open-door policy and invites the students to come to him to conference. They are given choice to work on whatever material they need to at whatever time they feel like it as long as they meet the learning targets. Its almost like he is the editor-in-chief
  2. The ways this lesson illustrate differentiated instruction are it allows for creativity. Taking what the students already have in their editorial and plugging everything they have into a brochure.
  3. The Workshop Model helps the teacher address his students' various learning needs by making each student’s learning relevant for them. It is their choice. I like that he acknowledges that workshop allows him to differentiate for his students. He is able to do different things at the same time to address each individuals’ learning needs.

1. I like the role of the techer, as he walks around the classroom checking in on students and offering feedback. He wants to be sure everyone is on track

2.This lesson illustrate differentiated instruction by letting the students pick their choice of assignment.  Students are more willing to work and research material based on what they wanted to learn more about.

3. Workshop Model helps the teacher to differenent and gives students time to work on material.

1. I would describe the teacher's role in this classroom as letteing the students  make choices on how they will reach their learning target.

2.This lesson illustrate differentiated instruction by letteing the students pick their choices on what activity they want to work on, use a rubric, extended time and small group of twos.

3. Workshop Model help the teacher address his students' various learning needs by giving a target to master with many choices to choose from.

I love the demonstrations of real-classroom-life differentiations.  It's meeting the needs of every student with the least amount of frustration on all ends of the spectrum.
