Wow.. yes there is something about writing out your thought process that secures it for better recall and builds a stronger foundation to build on that knowledge.

This was an excellent video teaching the Hochmann Method I have had the pleasure of teaching at a school as a paraprofessional that incorporated this method of teaching to the students. At times, it was funny to see in operation because most kids could not see the next connection in being able to "box and expound" their ideas in a subject that they didn't know how to explain yet alone write in detail about it. So, it is a valuable skill because we do it in everyday life, at times subliminally. 

This is a very important lesson becuase there are so many students that have learning disabilities and need help. The information is vital for success for the students as well as the parents to have a better understanding for their children. This also reminds me of similar components to equility and justice.
