The use of the dry erase board is snart. The students seemed to really enjoy its use. Group learning at its best!

Three ways to Formatively Assess video offers great ideas to incorporate in a group setting such as the Parrallell Lines technique. This has the student physically arranged so that the teacher can easily listen and observe the interaction of the students and the students can engage with mulitple students within the circle as it rotates.  The other approach  used in the video was the Check  List  which is an a great idea to use to assess certain skill sets.

I like that the teacher established 3 areas that she was going to watch for and evaluate during this activity. This checklist madegoog tool for  a data collection. I  wonder if the students understand what goals the teacher was watching, listening and evaluating.

I like that this talks about encouraging informal writing and talking for the kids. I like that the teacher was taking notes and was able to use those notes to evaluate the students without them really knowing. These ideas will help me with assessments in my class.
