1. I would agree that it I would also place stronger students with students that may have a more difficult time in this kind of activity. When peers are working together in activities like this they have to share their thinking out loud and this kind of process allows for partners to hear the inner dialogue and processing of the stronger peer. 

2. Working with peers allows us to learn to listen to the thinking of others, to cooperate to the benefit of both our exploring and learning of the material, and to hear varying approaches to the same problem or problems.

3. Working with peers without the teacher allows students time to explore ideas on their own and do it without the fear of being graded, being wrong, and without interjection from the teacher. This time allows them to process, play with ideas, and explore with a partner to bounce stuff off of.

1). One should determine which students are stronger in learning materials and pair them with students who tend to have a harder time learning the material. By working together among each other will increase the grasp of the material. 2). Pairs can help determine the strengths and weaknesses. 3). Working among peers can prepare students for future activities (e.g. college teamwork and working in pairs among coworkers) involving teamwork.
