This would have made way more sense to do with a single class. Why not have one student read the description and their own classmates draw? An entire class of students was just sitting there watching the whole time.

The other class is on video listening to the discption of monters. A great way to use video to get kids to visualize what is being said. The kids do a great job annuciated and speaking loudly for all to hear the descriptions of the monsters on video. Great activity which kept kids listening, thinking and engaged. Makes them think about adding more details for other to better visualize what they are trying to desribe. Great project.

I like the use of video conferrencing as a way to expand upon a lesson given to a group of students and another group of students. Mrs. Montegomary was great in presenting the activitiy in this fashion because her students can improve upon their oral skills for the future if they were to present a speech or what not. At the same time, it allows for the students to be very creative when it comes to the imagery that they describe and thus allowing the other students to be able to sketch out something that could resemble the way it was mentioned.

Love how this lesson could be used in a variety of ways for different grade levels. I love how this allows the students to work on oral presentation skills. I love how this allows for the students to use their creativity in their writing. They get to use their imagination in writing but also in art and how it blends the two together. The students seem to really enjoy this project as well.
