Discussion and Supporting Materials

Thought starters

  1. See how this school builds confidence, competence, and connectedness. How does this gender-specific environment support students in their social and academic development?
  2. What is the likely impact of weekly parent involvement?

What an great school.  It is maddening that they say Public Education is broken.  I work with so many dedicated teachers that work very hard to support their students.  Blaming public education is not helping anything.  It is time to focus on the parents and the relationship with public education and parents.  This school is based on a lottery, with 11 hour days, parents are required to be involved 2 hours per week.  What awesome opportunities.  How can we implement them into Public Schools?
