Ms. Lander fostering independence while providing the necessary support and guidance to help the individual thrive. This balance encourages self-reliance and confidence while ensuring they have access to resources and assistance when needed.

1.  She provided instructions for which the kids were able to understand 

2.  They worked as a group and helped one an other when it was needed.  The students enjoyed themselves s they interacted with one and other.  She walked around to ensure the kids were able to complete the task's presented.  

3.  When needed they were redirected and asked to get back on task

The teacher introduced the game to her students. She made sure that they understood what their roles were. She had a group at her table, but she also walked around the classroom when her students were struggling. She gave them 7 minutes to have one role as a checker, and a counter. She gave positive reinforcement to the students who were counting out loud. If a student picked a card, and didn't like the number 100, for example, she allowed them to pick another card. I liked the explicit instruction at the beginning, how she got her students to focus, "Point to the ceiling point to the floor. Point to the window point to the door…point to your chin bone... point to me." I also liked the end of the activity where she told her students, "Friends freeze," and then gave them instructions to clean up.

  1. Ms. Lander introduces the game by going over the instructions and breaking it down so no students is confused.
  2. I noticed that the studens would help each other out. I love that each student had a job. The counter and the checker. I like that she kept walking around making sure they were doing it correctly.
  3. She was walking around and redirecting them when they were off topic.
