The impact of these two teachers on my teaching journey has been truly profound and inspiring. Witnessing the mentor teacher's ability to provide positive feedback and constructive critique was not only refreshing but also a powerful reminder of the value of mentorship in education. What made this experience even more meaningful to me is the shared background of growing up in East Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley.

Now in my sixth year of teaching, I recently relocated to Honolulu, Hawaii, in July 2023. Despite the geographical distance, the connection I felt with these educators and their commitment to giving back to their community resonated deeply with me. My roots in the San Gabriel Valley remain strong, and I am eager to complete my credential program and return to teach for the Alhambra Unified School District.

The teaching video served as a catalyst for a renewed sense of purpose in my own approach to education. The challenges faced by these teachers during their first year, coupled with their growth, reflection, and perseverance, have left an indelible mark on my perspective. It reinforced the importance of having experienced and dedicated mentors, and I strongly believe that individuals like them should transition into administrative roles to guide and support fellow educators.

In essence, the profound impact of these teachers has not only refreshed my teaching approach but has also underscored the critical role mentorship plays in the development of effective educators. As I continue my journey in education, I am committed to carrying forward the lessons learned from these inspirational mentors and contributing to the growth and success of future generations in the San Gabriel Valley.

This video makes me realize that its okay as a teacher to make mistakes and learn from them and just keep improving your self . I love that fact that throughout the process your not alone there you have mentors to help you in this journal .Just as any teacher experience reflecting how you began and where you are now its the most greatest achievement since, you can see how far you grown .

I think that going into the first year of teaching, we ourselves set up unrealistic expectations about how our career is going to turn out. The truth is, the issues that will arrise are unpredictable and it takes an entire teaching career to learn how to take on each individual one. This video showed me how important it is to have a mentor who has the experience and can be a support system in telling you that you are not alone and that overcoming the first years of teaching is possible.
