I truly appreciate how the teacher started out with a lesson on imagery and descriptive writing first. The poem was easier to understand when it was broken down into sections, which allowed the students to paraphrase the passages. I was surprised at how quickly the students were able to grasp the concepts, and I appreciated that the students were asked to give the teacher feedback on her lesson.

This video was about visualizing and descriptive writing. The students collaborated and were fully engaged in the lesson. Their teacher opened up the lesson teaching imagery and students had to identify and justify their answers, Working with imagery or relevant descriptive that allowed the students to get the same picture in their heads or their thinking.

I really like that the teacher Flo, started off the class with a fun imagery detail of 3 choices of food, and having the students pick one of them to sketch out based on how they percieve it only for her to unveil what the items actually look like. That would allow for a smooth transition into the main activity regarding the topic of Beowulf in sketching out Grendal based on the descriptions used, and having the students be able translate the poem into their own words. Flo also did a great job in providing a reflection for the students on the activity because it helps show if she had suceeded on delivering the material or if there are things she still needs to improve on. That alone shows the makings of being a geat teacher.
