I appreciate so much not only the evolution of Teaching Channel as a whole, but in particular your development, as well. When I first started watching, I served as a veteran English teacher and learned so much from you and this platform. Now that I serve as an assistant principal, I appreciate this resource because I can share the videos and resources as part of discussions related to educator effectiveness. Many of the great conversations about teaching practice that I have had over the last few years stem from this resource.

I am so encouraged by the in depth reflection of the original video of the lesson. I remember watching the video a few years ago and feeling every thought you felt when lessons don't go well or ultimately flop. Thank you for sharing this and reminding me that it's OK to change the flow and activity of an originally planned lesson. Thank you for reminding it's just OK and sometimes change is necessary to meet the needs of all students. I appreciate you and have watched your videos for a number of years!

Thank You for your video and candor. I have been teaching for more than 25 years. I have had lessons go wrong and sat down and reflected; and yes the first inclination was to blame the students. But, then I thought about how to save the lesson and what my next steps were going to be, that is when my real learning began. The next day I was more creative and used what I learned from and about my students to clear up my mess. Not only did my students learn more but they were happy and excited to continue to learn more.
